    Full Time of 40 hours per week  Monday through Friday; non-exempt, benefit eligible. 

     

    Responsibilities

    The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the recording and payment of invoices for multiple companies in financial software.  Also, the preparation of bank recs, security deposits, credit card statements and various other financial documents and reports.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
    • Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks.
    • Distributes signed checks as required.
    • Answers all vendor inquiries.
    • Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files.
    • Assists Accounting personnel as necessary.
    • Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
    • Performs filing and coping.
    • Verify Coded invoices.
    • Update and maintain vendor database.
    • Reconciles vendor statements.
    • Able to process and enter 200-300 invoices per week.
    • Audits and verifies expenses reports.
    • Ability to process and follow-up on rush items.
    • Maintains account payable files.
    • 1099 preparation.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Desire to excel in work for the benefit of the company mission.
    • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and practices.
    • Excellent time and project skills. Ability to manage projects with multiple priorities, tasks and assignments.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to develop and maintain positive, professional and collaborative relationships.
    • Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations.
    • Ability to work with people under stressful circumstances.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft software products including Excel, Word, Project and Outlook required.

    SUPERVISORY FUNCTION:

    • This position does not have a supervisory function.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CREDENTIALS AND LICENSES:

    • A minimum of 3 years or related accounting clerical work experience.
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Associates Degree in Finance, Accounting or related subject preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions required.
